The all new MobiCam AV provides a 900 MHz system which allows for interference free operation in most households. Miniaturization allows the MobiCam Ultra to be much smaller than the original, while screen size has been increased to 1.8".
New features sure to be a hit include the AV mode that allows you to use the system as a stand alone audio/video sender. For example plug a DVD player's output into the camera and it will send the audio/video to the monitor. The monitor now has an RCA output which allows you to connect to a TV or other source.
The system is also fully expandable. Utilizing 2 selectable channels, an Extra Camera (Now Available!) can also be added. The new auto scan channel feature now allows you to either manually switch between channels or have the monitor scan back and forth in 5 sec intervals.
A VOX (voice activation) feature when activated turns off the screen and audio on the monitor. When audio is picked up by the camera above a preset level (like a baby crying) the monitor's screen and audio are reactivated to alert you. The VOX feature is designed to be used with one camera at a time, it does not switch between multiple cameras.
MobiCam's built-in Night Vision allows monitoring even in total darkness. The camera now employs 10 built-in IR illuminators which shine light up to 12 ft that's invisible to human eyes. The camera has a light sensor and auto switches into and out of night vision mode.
With an integrated microphone, full audio as well as video is transmitted back to the monitor. Both the camera and monitor can be wall mounted.
