The star of the show is the crib soother unit which is a first for a video baby monitor. The crib unit securely attaches to the side of the crib and is powered
by 4 C batteries (not included). A two-speed vibration feature as well as the ability to play 3 lullabies and 2 nature sounds soothes your infant back to sleep. There's even a night light built in.
Features on the crib unit can be remotely controlled on the monitor or on the crib unit itself. A lock out switch disables the buttons on the crib unit to avoid tampering with by older children, and the 20 minute auto-off turns off sounds and lullabies after your child is back to sleep.
A 1.8" color screen allows you to see a clear picture on the monitor unit. Full controls for all the crib soother functions are found on the monitor. Audio meter lights allow you to visually see the intensity of audio being picked up by the camera.
The very popular "audio only" feature is also found on this system. By pressing a button on the top of the monitor the screen is turned off allowing you to listen to the audio only. Press again to turn the screen back on, it's perfect for night time.
Power for the monitor is supplied by the built in rechargeable battery pack, which must be charged overnight before first use. You can also plug in the monitor to AC power using the supplied adapter. A belt clip and folding foot rest allow you to place the monitor on your belt or have it sit at any angle on a flat surface.
A headphone output allows you to listen in using headphones if you wish. There is no video output on the monitor, so it cannot be connected to a VCR or TV.
Reception range is 350 ft with clear line of site, or approx 100 ft obstructed. The camera is intended for indoors use only and is powered by the supplied AC adapter. 8 built-in infrared illuminators on the camera provide Night Vision. The camera relays signals from the monitor to the crib unit, so the camera and crib unit must be in close proximity for the remote operation of the crib unit to function.

Extra cameras are not yet offered for this system by Summer Infant, but we will make them available as soon as they do. The system is designed with the ability to use a second camera.
